CONSIGNMENT

Maximize the value of your unused equipment

Are your servers, storage arrays or workstations sitting unused in a rack or a closet?
They still have value. Trust us with them!

SERVICE

IT & Telecom Consignment by WeeeDoIT

When equipment is no longer suitable for your production environment, it may still be of interest to other companies, resellers or integrators. Consignment allows you to maximize value: instead of accepting an immediate offer that is often low, you give us the time to identify the right buyer, in the right market, at the right time.

Throughout the consignment period, we ensure the security, preparation, compliance and commercial representation of your equipment until it is sold.

Model analysis, condition, generation, market potential.

Access to brokers, resellers, IT service providers, integrators.

Visibility on margin / resale price / fees.

Data anonymization and erasure, certificate provided.

92%

of consigned lots find a buyer within 60 days

2× to 4×

WE DO IT FOR YOU

A consignment service designed for CIOs who want to optimize their IT budget

Inventory management

Your equipment is protected in warehouse storage, without occupying your internal space.

Secure data erasure

No risk related to residual data during the consignment period.

Refurbishment & preparation

Testing, cleaning, light refurbishment: everything is performed by our technicians.

Resale timelines & market dynamics

The value of IT equipment often depends on timing. A component may sell in 48 hours… or require 60 days to reach its optimal price. The benefit of consignment is to leverage these natural market cycles: an integrator’s urgent need, the rarity of a part, a failure on a client cluster, an architecture refresh… all situations that can help achieve the best price — provided you wait for the right moment.

• Standard WeeeDoIT timeframe: 7 to 45 days
• Rare parts timeframe: 24–72 hours
• Older generation timeframe: 30–120 days

• Possibility to accelerate the sale with a minimum trigger price
• Automatic repositioning if the market moves

FAQ

Questions about Consignment

How do you determine the listing price and the potential value of equipment?

The price is based on an objective evaluation of the market and the technical condition. We are not in an auction room, but it can sometimes look similar.

We analyze generation, capabilities, physical condition, key components, as well as current demand in the European refurbished markets. Configurations are compared with our historical sales data, broker pricing, manufacturer shortages and highly demanded references (CPU, ECC RAM, NVMe SSDs, network cards, power supplies…). The client always validates the launch price: we recommend an optimal value, but the decision remains yours.

Then we look for buyers, and in some cases, for rare equipment, we may let it go to the highest bidder!

Sold!

In summary: price based on real condition + market demand, validated by you.

Certified erasure is systematic and performed before any storage or resale.

Each piece of equipment is processed according to a strict ITAD procedure: extraction or isolation of storage media, erasure according to NIST 800-88 / DoD standards, then generation of a named certificate.
When equipment must be stored before verification, storage media are removed and placed in sealed containers to guarantee the absence of leakage. No equipment containing active data enters our resale circuit.

In summary: systematic certified erasure, secured media, full traceability.

Usually between a few days and a few months, depending on rarity and demand.

Common parts (RAM, disks, power supplies) often sell quickly.
Complete servers, storage arrays and high-end equipment may require several weeks before finding a buyer aligned with the optimal value.
We recommend a maximum period of 3 to 6 months to maximize price without unnecessarily occupying space. After this period, we propose three options: price adjustment, buyback at modified value, or certified recycling.

In summary: flexible timeframe, optimized to maximize your value.

Simple: we are primarily an IT broker, with an activity centered on refurbishment, stock management and component traceability. Each part we use comes from qualified stocks, tested and certified before entering our inventory. Once in stock, components do not remain “idle”: they undergo regular checks, at least monthly, to ensure proper functioning before any intervention.

For active maintenance contracts, we create a dedicated buffer stock, meaning a set of parts specifically reserved for the client. These parts can be stored at WeeeDoIT or directly on the client site depending on the criticality of the infrastructure. When a buffer part is used, it is immediately replaced in stock to maintain the same level of coverage.

This approach secures intervention times, avoids service disruption and ensures consistent quality throughout the maintenance lifecycle.

You have complete monitoring according to your needs.

Each piece of equipment is inventoried, tracked by serial number, and visible in your client space (or exportable report): condition, tests, recommended price, sale price, listing date and final margin.
You can see precisely when equipment is reserved, sold or withdrawn.
No sale is made without validation of the price or negotiation framework that you have defined.

In summary: full visibility from inventory to sale.

Professional equipment with long lifecycle is the most relevant.

Those that deliver the best results:

• rack and tower servers (Dell, HPE, Lenovo…)
• storage arrays
• enterprise switches and routers
• high-demand components: ECC RAM, NVMe SSDs, CPU, network cards
• datacenter equipment and high-efficiency power supplies

Consumer equipment (basic PCs, printers, monitors) has little interest in consignment and usually ends up in recycling or material recovery.

In summary: priority to professional equipment and high-demand components.

We propose the best alternative depending on the situation.

Three scenarios are possible:

• Price adjustment if the market has evolved.
• Buyback if you want to free space quickly.
• Certified recycling if the equipment no longer has market value.

Each decision is made with you, transparently, taking into account your priorities (price, speed, compliance, ESG).

In summary: no unnecessary immobilization — always an appropriate solution.

Equipment is stored like datacenter hardware.

It is placed in secure areas, with controlled temperature and humidity, adapted racks, shock protection and ESD zones for sensitive components.
Each machine is labeled, isolated from dust or moisture risk, and stored to prevent bending, impacts or chassis scratches.
Storage media are removed and protected.

In summary: secure, controlled storage compliant with professional standards.
